I recently met with the owner of 1697Y.

In an effort to improve it's monthly flight hours (translated - reduce the cost per hour of maintenance) we have decided to lower the rental rate of this aircraft to just $98 per hour for the remainder of this month.

This will get you into a very nice (new interior) Cessna 172 with a Garmin GPS (moving map) and an Auto Pilot for only $98 per hour.

So if you are looking for an excuse to get in to the air, this might be the one for you.

As long as we can afford to operate it at that price.

Currently, it's not being flown enough. I have made the price more attractive to get people flying the plane, over the newer model. However if we can't get the needed hours, we'll likely have to remove the plane from the schedule.

If I can keep it flying, I'll hold the price indefinitley unless something were to change like fuel, or expenses.
