I had the opportunity to fly to Manassas, Virgina this week to attend a Cirrus event, and showing of the new Cirrus Jet (SF-50) Pretty neat all the way around. My trip down, I was able to fly a New Cirrus SR22-T. This is the new turbo version of the Cirrus which was certified for Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI) It is fairly quick, but most impressive was the climb performance of the turbo. It will maintain 30.5 inches of manifold pressure in the climb yielding over 1000 feet per minute all the way up to 25,000 feet. I really liked the Garmin 1000 Perspective as well. While there I took a few photos with my cell phone. Quality isn't the best, but you get the idea. Then my ride home was a Cirrus SR22 GTS. Another nice plane, this time boasting the Avidyne glass panel. I hand flew both planes for the full trip so I could experience the feel of the plane and get to know it better. Most pilots however will set the autopilot up and let it do the work for you. Very nice aircraft, I enjoyed the trip, and was very comfortable all of the way. Here are some pics of the trip.
