This is a very interesting Frontline investigation about the crash that occurred near Buffalo, NY in February of 2009. Apparently, the crash was not a result of icing, as many people believe, but rather was an incorrect reaction to a stall warning by the pilot and co-pilot. If you don't have time to watch the entire hour-long program, I recommend watching at least the first 10 minutes. www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/flyingcheap/view/?utm_campaign=viewpage&utm_medium=grid&utm_source=gridBy the way, I hope it doesn't seem like I'm obsessed with plane crashes. I just think learning how this crash happened can help us avoid making similar mistakes, especially for people like me, who are still just student pilots. Even though I'm unlikely to ever fly a plane as big as the one that crashed near Buffalo, there are definitely lessons that can be learned from that crash.

Chris, good job, I really appreciated that report! Yes we can learn a lot from someone elses mishap. I have been fortunate in my life to learn many lessons the easy way, at someone elses expense. We should all be so LUCKY! May it last my lifetime and yours! Best of luck with your training! :-) GA
